LIQUID

Looking through water at the slanted
rock above which a trout trembles.
Mayflies dance daringly, destined
to do what they do deftly. Here
human feet part dappled water,
body passing through into breathlessness,
as exhales stop. Reversal. Gasps almost
giggle with pain. Experience says
it will pass. The moment
becomes eternal, then swims.
